Care Instructions

Basic Care:
Machine wash cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and with like colors only. Tumble dry low heat until fill is completely dry. Remove from the dryer immediately. To maintain even distribution of fill, re-fluff or shake throughout the dry cycle. Only use non-chlorine bleach when needed. Do not dry clean. Do not iron.

Pro Tip:
Mattress protectors should be washed 2-4 times a year. Do not iron, bleach or dry clean your mattress protector. Do not wash or dry with any abrasive fabrics. Abrasion or damage to the waterproof lamination during washing can cause the waterproofing to fail.

What's the difference between a mattress pad and a mattress protector?

Although each of these products utilize Outlast® technology to help you sleep at the perfect temperature, each product addresses different needs. If you need the most temperature-regulation performance, one of our mattress pad options are right for you. If you need 100% waterproof protection and temperature-regulation, you should choose the mattress protector.

I sleep hot, my partner sleeps cold. Is this going to work for us?

Definitely! When you sleep hot but your partner sleeps cold we refer to this as being “thermally incompatible”. Our bedding is designed to automatically adjust to each sleeper’s ideal sleep temperature. With the unique ability to react to each sleeper's temperature independently, our bedding ensures that both you and your partner will sleep comfortably all night long.

How do I layer a mattress protector on my bed?

The technology in our mattress protector is designed to work even when used underneath your fitted sheet. We recommend to layer the mattress protector on top of your mattress but under your fitted sheet. If you are using a mattress topper, layer that first followed by the mattress protector and fitted sheet.

How many degrees cooler will this keep me?

Slumber Cloud products are designed to help manage heat and humidity build up. It is not an air conditioner with a set temperature degree, but it will react to your temperature all night long to reduce heat build up and manage temperature swings.
