Since my boys are still too young to shop on their own, my husband recently asked for ideas for Mother’s Day gifts. Here’s a list of 10 unique gift ideas that are all well under $75 (Most under $30)!

  1. Photobook:  I’m a sucker for pictures and I will shamefully admit that I took 150 pictures at my children’s first swim lesson alone. Necessary? No. But I have all these pictures and no where to put them.  I could finally have the pictures printed and easily accessible and so could the mom in your life. (Starting at $11.99, Shutterfly.com)
  2. A Humorous Book:  If your mom/wife/sister/etc are easily offended you can skip this one. It isn’t for everyone but this book was written by my favorite blogger, Karen Alpert and is titled,  “I Heart My Little A-Holes.” This hilarious book was written to make people laugh and feel a little less alone in the impossible, awesome, horrendous, amazing, challenging, exciting, disgusting, unbelievable job of being a parent. ($16.99, Amazon.com)
  3. Birchbox: Each month, she’ll receive a selection of samples from both well-known brands and emerging beauty brands.  Once she has sampled these products, she can then purchase full-size versions directly from the Birchbox Shop.  No more purchasing expensive beauty items later realizing it wasn’t for you. ($30, Birchbox)
  4. Notecards: I personally love sending notes to people. We do it here at Slumber Cloud on a daily basis but it would be nice to have a stash at home as well. Here is an adorable set I found on Etsy  by a stay at home mom shop called “presents for pirates”.  Holla!  ($10, Etsy.com)
  5. Wink Bags: This functional and fashionable pack comes with a variety of luxury toiletries that will come in handy on her next business trip, vacation or just a trip to the gym. Also, for each Wink bag purchased, the company donates one toiletry kit to the Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations to parents during a critically ill child’s hospital stay. ($30; winkbags.com)
  6. Manicure/Pedicure:  Nothing beats someone else rubbing your feet and massaging your hands. A gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure hits the spot. Don’t forget to add a tip so she won’t have to bring anything but a magazine. ($55, your local salon)
  7. Polar FT4 Activity Watch: This watch is for for those who want basic heart rate-based features to keep their fitness training simple. It is easy to read, shows improvements in activities, calories burned and is suitable for swimming. ($69, amazon.com)
  8. Silicone Wine Glasses: Genius! These elegant, unbreakable cups can go where no wine glasses have gone before—your backpack, picnic basket, or suitcase! Before you hit the road for the campsite, beach, or picnic grounds, just squeeze these squishy, food-grade silicone glasses in with the rest of your gear ($19.95, Uncommongoods.com)
  9. Healthy Snacks:  Can you tell I like subscriptions? I love this idea of healthy snacks being delivered to your door.  Graze.com prides themselves on working with small suppliers to give their subscribers unrivalled ingredients and products.  Have snacks delivered to her office or straight to her house. YUMMY. If I don’t get this for mother’s day, I’m ordering it myself next week. ($6, Graze.com)
  10. Flower Planter boxes: Delivered flowers are nice but a pre-planted flower box takes the work out of making the porch look amazing. ($35-75, local garden store)

Happy Mother’s day to all those incredible mom’s out there.
